Marketing

In marketing, the job role is very challenging, varied and exciting. As a marketing executive in a company you are involved in development and campaigns of a product, service or idea. However, the responsibilities will vary depending on the organisation and private or public sector. Not only do marketing executives try to sell a product, but some take an awareness approach, and try to make the public acknowledge a certain issue that affects them. These people can also be known as a co-coordinator. This role is quite similar to that of an admin assistant, but they are more involved as well as doing all the paperwork and arranging meetings. A producer of a film has a marketing role in his company, as they are the person that has to deal with the financing, marketing and distribution of the finished film. Film publicists work with the producers and help the distributors work out how to advertise a film in a way that it reaches a maximum audience. They have to be knowledgeable and strategic about the needs of the media industry and public audience, have quick responses to ideas, and be the one who can create a phenomena about the films release.
